About HOPE

Our “scholars” are individuals ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade who receive mentorship through the HOPE program.

Located at Downtown Community Church

our program runs

Monday-Wednesday from 5-7 PM

We offer 2 kinds of programs HOPE[x] for middle and high school boys and HOPE Afterschool for middle and high school girls and Elementary students.

At HOPE Afterschool:

Mentor and scholar pairings begin each evening, with dedicated to academics. Scholars can work on homework or participate in our prepared supplemental academic activities. Academic time leads into free time for the mentor/scholar pair to partake in an activity they both enjoy. We then come back together for a discipleship lesson and mentor/scholar pairs discuss biblical topics and application with each other in an age-appropriate setting. We end with dinner as a group, followed by our dismissal procedure.

At HOPE[x]

Students and mentors will complete any homework and once that is done will learn a practical life skill from guest speakers from the community. After our life skill discussion, students will learn coding basics taught by our HOPEx instructor. Afterwards we will have dinner together and then dismiss.
